Today’s episode is another special installment of the podcast featuring live recorded content from the “Shape The Future of Audio” Series produced by our friends at The Digilogue based in NYC and powered by none other than Sennheiser – if you are not familiar Sennheiser shaping the future of the audio industry with a unique culture of innovation, a passion for excellence, and rich history of high end product development ranging from headsets to microphones and you audiophiles out there will def want to check out their recently released Ambeo Smart Headset with 3D sound – it will blow your mind!
The Future of Audio Series was an intimate 4 day summit in NYC’s Chelsea neighborhood at the Interface creative lounge earlier this October. There were live music performances, power packed panels, and masterclasses where Artist and Industry folks shared in extensive dialogue on topics like VR, 3D audio, the economics of streaming music, and all manner of related topics in between. And thanks to our friends at Sennheiser – it was free to attend!
If you didn’t get to participate this time around be sure to check out future events at www.thedigilogue.com and fear not, the MSCLVR podcast was there to record interviews many of the speakers and panelists and, of course, we are also bringing you the recorded audio so that you, too, can benefit from the awesome knowledge transfer that occurred each day.
Today’s release is from the “Intro to Logic” masterclass recorded on Oct 5th, on Day 2 of the series hosted by super talented engineer/producer, and educator at the Future Music Moguls Program at NYU – Abhita Austin!
In this masterclass Abhita takes the audience through beat production in the Logic software suite from scratch! Now I know what you may be thinking – “what can I take away from just the audio when I can’t see her navigating the tools on screen?”
What I think any listener can take away from this audio segment is hearing how a master of production thinks through her process, the best practices she employs, and, of course, she does a great Q&A at the end so if you’ve ever wanted to dabble in music creation there is something in here for you!
We had a chance to catch up with Abhita for a 1:1 interview so make sure you’re subscribed and stayed tuned for that interview – you won’t want to miss that!
The implications of this conversation are relevant to all who interested in music production, the Logic software suite, and/or are just curious about how beats are made.
